I'm Ethan. My last role was Head of Systems and Network Engineering at a Shadow Corp. Before that, and before that, and before that — it's been security work all the way down. Same story for development.

Security is what actually interests me. Development is the tool I use to demonstrate it, automate it, or build something that makes the point better than a slide deck would.

This blog is where I write about what I'm working through. No padding, no listicles, no "10 things you didn't know about DNS" — just the actual stuff I wish had existed when I was figuring things out. That means networking, security research, projects I'm building, and topics I've gone deep on and want to document before I forget the details.
